Dense Floor: Halloween

The team behind Groovebox Radio brings its signature house and techno sound back to the underground following a standout run during Barcolana week.

After an electric series of performances during this year’s Barcolana—where the Dense Floor format captivated crowds at Piazza Verdi before packing out local indoor venues—Trieste’s underground scene is gearing up for its next major night out. On Thursday, October 31, the movement returns to its natural habitat: the intimate, high-octane space of Streaming Club (Via San Cilino 36).

Created by the Groovebox Radio collective, Dense Floor has steadily established itself over the past year as a cornerstone for refined electronic music in the region. The project’s mission is clear: to bridge the gap between Trieste’s local clubbing landscape and the soundscapes of nearby European capitals like Ljubljana, Zagreb, and Vienna.

From Open-Air Energy to Underground Intimacy

The momentum built during Barcolana proved that Trieste has a hungry, dedicated community looking for quality electronic programming. Transforming central urban spaces into open-air dance floors established a seamless link between public celebration and late-night clubbing.

For Halloween, that same raw energy moves back indoors. Stripping away gimmick-heavy Halloween tropes, Dense Floor centers the night around pure audio immersion: a dark room, a pristine sound system, and a carefully curated line-up.

The Line-Up

Taking control of the decks for this Halloween edition are three of the most active selectors on the local circuit:

• DID: Founder of Groovebox Radio and a key driving force in the regional scene. Known for precise, unpretentious sets that seamlessly move through house, micro, and techno textures.
• CIP & PEC: A dynamic DJ pairing taking on a back-to-back session, delivering driving grooves and energetic selections designed to keep the floor moving until the early hours.
