Dennis Jones is a powerhouse blues-rock guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter known for his fiery solos, gritty grooves, and commanding stage presence. Based in Los Angeles, Jones has built a career on blending traditional blues roots with the intensity of rock and the soul of R&B. His sound is inspired by legends like Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Guy and Stevie Ray Vaughan, but his music carries a modern edge that keeps audiences on their feet.
Baltimore County-born Jones is thrilled for his best Blues-Rock album of the year, 2025, Blues Music Award nomination for About Time! Praised by fans and critics alike, it has been described as “The genre is contemporary blues, and Jones plays serious guitar with the heart of a bluesman and the soul of a Baptist minister.” Oscar Jordan – Vintage Guitar Magazine
Jones is also the winner of the Bobby Rush Entertainer of the Year, 2023, from Jus’ Blues Music Awards in Biloxi, Mississippi. Nominated for the Blues Music Award 2025.
Jones’ feet are firmly rooted in the past, yet his heart and soul are connected to the present. He writes songs that seamlessly blend the best of both worlds, presenting a unique and contemporary style of American rock and blues. And he isn’t afraid to tackle the controversial issues of today. Dennis has written songs for other notable artists, including the late Guitar Shorty.
