Join us for the next meeting of the Great Divide Orchid Society, where we’ll explore the colorful world of Dendrobium Orchids! Dendrobium orchids are unique in the way they reproduce. Many varieties of dendrobiums are epiphytic, which means they grow on other plants without drawing nourishment from them. Instead, they absorb moisture and nutrients through their pseudobulbs.
Whether you're a seasoned orchid grower or a beginner, this session will provide valuable insights on cultivating and caring for these stunning orchids. There are over 1000 varieties of Dendrobium orchid, and they're native across a wide area from India, China and Japan to Australia, New Zealand and New Caledonia.
We will dive into the specific needs of the Dendrobium genus, covering everything from ideal growing conditions and watering tips to common challenges and how to overcome them. Bring your questions, share your experiences, and learn from fellow orchid enthusiasts!
