We’ve found a new home at the Neal Rantoul Vault Theatre, 25 Exchange Street, Lynn, MA, in the heart of Central Square.
Easy parking, close to MBTA and commuter rail, and fully accessible.
Smooth, Mellow Vibes
R&B, Soul, Kizomba, NeoSoul, Salsa, Zouk, Reggae, Afrobeats—all things soulful, smooth, and mellow. The perfect end to a hard week, where you can kick back, relax, and be inspired.
This open mic is rooted in Spoken Word, Poetry & Storytelling, but we also welcome Music & Dance, including R&B, Folk, Reggae, or anything smooth and mellow.
Whether it’s your first time on stage or you’re a seasoned performer, DENCITY is the perfect place to share your voice.

7:00 PM - Doors Open – the vibe begins!
7:15 PM - Open Mic Sign-Up slots are limited – arrive early!
Soul Writers Workshop: Individual writing prompts are provided for participants to write, draw, or sketch their inspiration.
8:00 PM - Open Mic Begins!
Performers drawn at random, with each having five minutes to perform.
9:00 PM - Break for Vendors & Community Announcements
9:30 PM - Feature Performance
10:00 PM - Open Mic Resumes
Performers drawn at random, with each having five minutes to perform. Performances will continue until 10:50 PM.
11:00 PM - Event Close
