This is an English language free tour on the history of 's-Hertogenbosch and the Netherlands during the Second World War.In 2½ hours, we'll cover
- WWII in the Netherlands;
- The Dutch resistance and the illegal radio;
- The Dutch Nazi Party;
- Brandy Tuesday and Mad Tuesday;
- Concentration Camp Vught and the Holocaust;
- The liberation of the city;
- The Dutch famine of 1944/45;
- and many more interesting subjects!
Den Bosch Free Tours is an initiative that started in 2017, aimed at organising free walking tours in English for expats, students, tourists and anyone who's interested in the history of this beautiful town. The tours are free and independently organised, a gratuity is appreciated but not mandatory.
We'll meet up in front carnavalsmonument, look for a guide with a Den Bosch Free Tour sign and a blue backpack.
