How can water, nature, and communities reshape our cities into more inclusive and democratic spaces?
On 11 June 2026 (09:00–13:15), the URWAN project will host its Final Event in Brussels, coordinated by ANCI Lazio and held at the Lazio Region Office, bringing together policymakers, researchers, cities, and practitioners from across Europe and the Mediterranean.
Under the title
“Democratic Water Landscapes: co-creating inclusive green spaces with water at the core”,
the event will present URWAN key results and explore innovative approaches to nature-based solutions, water-sensitive urban design, and participatory governance.
� Programme highlights include:
Presentation of URWAN tools and outputs (NbS Catalogue, Decision Support System, Start Park tool, Enabler Pack)
Interactive co-design workshop on urban green areas
Roundtable on scaling up Nature-based Solutions across cities and regions
Networking and exchange with European stakeholders
Afternoon visit to the New European Bauhaus Festival
The event will conclude a shared journey of experimentation, co-creation, and policy innovation, contributing to more resilient and inclusive urban futures.
