Step back in time and meet Jane Addams, one of America’s most influential social reformers! Actress Betsey Means of WomanLore brings Addams to life in a captivating performance drawn from Addams’ own writings.
Jane Addams (1860–1935) was a champion for social justice, co-founder of Chicago’s Hull House, and the first American woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. Her work helped shape modern social work, labor rights, and women’s activism.
This engaging 50-minute performance will be followed by a Q&A, giving you a chance to dive deeper into Addams’ legacy and lasting impact.
