What are we fundraising for?

The goal of this event is to raise money to support Leah Gazan to continue her important work in Winnipeg Centre. Recently, Leah has:

• Been fighting to protect door-to-door service and keep mail service accessible to the most marginalized
• Brought forward a bill in the House of Commons to protect workers’ right to strike and collective bargaining
• Spoken out against human rights violations in international law
• Condemned Bill C-12 and pushed to protect migrant rights
• Brought in millions of dollars in funding for the residents of Winnipeg Centre
• and much, much more!

Fighting the good fight takes resources, and we have to remember to find joy. This fundraiser is an opportunity to eat, celebrate, and laugh together while also raising the money it takes to fight for our rights.
