Dementia Immersion Experience

An immersive training program to better understand individuals with dementia and other disabilities. Using sensory stimulation and deprivation techniques, the course simulates the physical and emotional experiences faced by those with cognitive impairments. Participants gain insights into the anxiety, frustration and fear associated with dementia, enhancing their empathy.

Note: This training contains an activity section taking place inside a classroom. Activities may include walking, puzzles, and simulated vision and hearing impairment to replicate certain disabilities. Partcipation in all sections is required to receive CEU's.
