In Wisconsin, by 2030, over 162,000 individuals will be living with some form of dementia. Currently in the United States, over 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia. Together, by raising awareness, we can reduce the stigma associated with dementia and allow those living with dementia to remain active in our community.The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Portage County will be recognize Dementia Awareness Week in May. We will be holding a number of events related to dementia.
