About this Event
This exhibition is the culmination of a two-year project exploring and connecting three vital saltmarsh ecosystems: Barrow-in-Furness, East Lothian (Scotland), and The Wadden Sea (Netherlands). These ecosystems play a crucial role in tidal wetlands and marine carbon sequestration.
Since 2022, each artist has taken time to explore and research their local saltmarsh ecosystem before travelling to the other two locations to make connections across the three places.
The exhibition opening will take place in the Art Gene Main Gallery located within The Nan Tait Centre, Abbey Road, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, LA14 5TY.
