About this Event

The Maryland Social Action committee is excited to convene the 2025 Delta Days, to be held in-person on Monday, February 24, 2024 (12 PM - 7:00 PM. Members should plan for dinner and legislative session). Members from across the state of Maryland will come together for our annual event of policy and legislative advocacy to move an agenda of change for our communities. Your presence is requested to participate so we can educate ourselves and renew our commitment to actions that address the issues of the communities we serve.

On Monday, February 24, 2024, we will convene in person at the St. Anne's Church in Annapolis, MD. This is within a 3-minute walk of the State Capitol building.

A detailed program will be available before the event.

When: February 24th, 12 Noon - 7:00 PM

Where: St. Anne's Church, 199 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis, MD 21401

Attire: Delta Business Attire (wear all red or a splash of red)

Costs:

  • Collegiates: $20 plus $3.18 fee = $23.18
  • Alumnae: $65 plus $6.21 fee = $71.21

Donations

The full price for the Collegiate sorors would be $57.00. However, to keep costs affordable, we are only charging Collegiate sorors $20. We are seeking Alumnae sorors, who would be willing to sponsor a collegiate soror to attend 2025 DDIA in-person, by donating $32 plus fees. However, we will accept all donations. No amount is too great or too small.

FAQs

1. Why are there two separate dates for Delta Days in Annapolis (DDIA)?

a. Virtual event allows for more members to participate. We can also cover more topics in-depth, such as upcoming legislative bills and state priorities.

b. In-person event allows members more opportunities:

  • to engage in cross-pollination of ideas and plans with other sorors as well as
  • dialogue and network with sorors, legislators, and subject matter experts from other organizations and/or advocacy groups.

2. Is there a difference between the virtual and in-person content? Yes, each event will have its own separate and distinct agenda. There will also be opportunities for advocacy.

3. Can I just register for 1 event?

a. Yes, you will be able to register for 1 or both events.

4. How do I register for the virtual event on February 22nd?

a. The virtual event will be on Zoom. To register, please use the following link:

5. Does the cost of the event include dinner?

a. No, it does not. Dinner is the responsibility of the member.

6. Who do I contact if I have more questions about the event (not related to Eventbrite)?

a. Please share questions with your chapter’s Social Action Chairperson(s) or email [email protected].

7. What are the parking arrangements for the in-person event? Will shuttles be provided?

a. Public parking is available. Due to the low interest expressed in ride-sharing, no shuttle/bus service will be provided as part of the DDIA event.

8. Inclement Weather:

a. In the event of inclement weather, we will follow the guidance of the Anne Arundel County government. The DDIA committee will email an update to all registrants with the decision on whether to hold, cancel, or reschedule the event. St. Anne’s Church will close offices if Anne Arundel County schools are closed.

9. Am I required to wear a mask?

a. Please follow the Sorority’s COVID-19 Protocol as well as Anne Arundel County’s most current guidance on COVID-19 protocol. We do encourage members to wear masks.

10. Can I transfer my ticket?

a. Yes. All transfers are to be facilitated via Eventbrite between sorors. Essentially, you will edit the order information, so it shows the other person’s name.

1. Go to “Tickets.” Login to your Eventbrite account. Then go to Tickets.

2. Select your order.

3. Click “Edit.” If you do not see an Edit option, the event organizer is likely not allowing changes. Click Contact the Organizer.
