Africa Day 2026 came at a pivotal moment for Africa–UK relations. Anchored in the African Union's Agenda 2063 and this year's continental theme of sustainable water access and sanitation, this one-day high-level dialogue moves beyond conversation towards concrete delivery.
Bringing together African Ambassadors and High Commissioners, UK Government representatives, development partners, private sector leaders, and researchers, the conference will explore how Africa–UK partnerships can drive real outcomes across four key themes:
- Financing Systems That Deliver — innovative capital and investment models for long-term development
- Water and Sanitation as Economic and Resilience Infrastructure — positioning WASH as a driver of growth and climate resilience
- Education, Skills and the Future Workforce — building the human capital to power industrialisation
- Trade, Investment and Industrialisation — strengthening value chains and competitiveness
The day will close with reflections on translating dialogue into actionable, measurable partnership commitments ahead of the UK's G20 Presidency and Ethiopia's hosting of COP32.
