Delay of Termination
ANTI-FRIEZE+ presents Delay of Termination, an in-progress performance by Sining Zhu. （The work is presented in its developmental phase）The REEF, Los Angeles
Developed as an evolving process rather than a finished work, this live experimental performance unfolds through minimal, sustained actions that resist fixed definitions of value. It inhabits a state of continuation—where maintenance replaces repair, and duration replaces resolution.
Rather than restoring what has been deemed broken, obsolete, or unproductive, the work extends the life of what remains. By delaying the moment of cessation, the performance proposes care as a temporal strategy: not to conclude, but to remain with.
Presented as a work in progress, Delay of Termination remains intentionally unfinished—an open structure unfolding in real time.

About ANTI-FRIEZE+ LA
ANTI-FRIEZE+ LA will “defrost” ten select rooms on the REEF’s 12th floor, activating former wholesale furniture showrooms through original happenings by emerging local artists in collaboration with the CalArts REEF Residency.
Rooted in time-based experience, the festival foregrounds works-in-progress that reinterpret notions of the “classic,” expand multidisciplinary movement practices, and invite cross-sector collaboration. Within these once-commercial interiors, performance becomes both spatial intervention and temporal reorientation.

The festival takes place across ten showrooms on the 12th floor. Upon arrival, check in at the ground-floor security desk. Staff will direct you to the designated elevators to access the 12th floor.
