We realize this is a special occasion and are honored that you have chosen the beautiful historic scenic landscape of Grey Towers for your photos. Please keep in mind that this is a National Historic Site and rules and regulations are necessary to ensure your safety as well as the security and protection of our cultural and natural resources. All visitors are required to follow all federal regulations and guidelines while on Forest Service property.
• Parking is first come first serve. It is very likely you will have to walk up the hill from lower parking areas and fields to access the mansion area. Please bring appropriate comfortable shoes such as flip flops or flats.
• Carpooling is highly suggested. We ask that party buses load off site prior to coming to Grey Towers.
• We have very limited accessible parking. Those with handicapped vehicle signs or individuals with mobility issues may be dropped off at the turnaround wall by the mansion.
• We ask that no photo props, tents, chairs, tables, stools, canopies, ropes, stanchions, amplifiers, lawn signs, rice, birdseed, confetti, streamers, balloons, bubbles, and open flames are brought to our site. In addition, the release of any type of live animals is prohibited.
• We ask kindly that our historic landscape is respected: no climbing or jumping from historic structures (including historic stone walls), standing in flower beds, climbing trees, entering water features, or picking our beautiful flowers.
• Food and alcohol are not permitted.
• The covered Visitor Pavilion and the tented Pool Terrace are the only facilities available in case of inclement weather.
• We ask that no benches or chairs are moved around the site.
• Visitor vehicle gates open at 9am and close at 4:00pm daily. We look forward to supporting our community and its students. There are pedestrian gates that can be used after 4:00pm but it will be a longer walk to the historic core.
