Welcome to the final performance of the DSO's 120th season!Our evening begins with the performance of "Four Black American Dances" by our 2026 A. I. duPont Composer’s Award winner, Carlos Simon.
Music Director Michelle Di Russo notes: "His music is full of rhythm, deep thought, impact, and energy. I can't wait for you to experience his brilliance!"
Then, lose yourself in the cool of Gershwin’s "Piano Concerto in F," where guest artist Peter Dugan joins the DSO in bluesy harmonies and colorful bursts, blurring lines between orchestral music and jazz groove.
Finally, brace for the thrill of Stravinsky’s "Firebird," a whirlwind of magic and raw power that moves from mysterious whispers to an explosive, triumphant finale!
