About this Event
Delaware County's transportation history is remarkable - featuring everything from indigenous trails to wagon roads, to expressways; rivers that hosted extensive canoe and flatboat traffic; an amazing railroad presence that continues to this day with rail freight; and a growing regional aviation hub.
See many photos and illustrations and hear about the evolution of moving people and products within and outside our county, which has always been a crossroads for the state and larger region. The evolution continues today as we face new population and traffic challenges with proposals for roadways and rail that not everyone considers progress.
Becky is a retired healthcare administrator who has been very active in the Delaware County Historical Society. She has done everything from gardening to being a board member. She has published articles and given programs. Most recently, she has taken on the position of editor of our Historian magazine. Beyond our society, she is also active in the Conestoga Society of Ohio History Connection and is a member of the Organization of American Historians and the Lincoln Forum. Becky is also a faculty member of Ohio Wesleyan’s Lifelong Learning program.
