Del Ray's annual National Night Out will have a special event this year - a community dog walk with Alexandria Police Dept. Chief Tarrick McGuire to learn more about the APD's Dog Walker Watch program! Meet up at Pat Miller Square by 6:30pm to join Chief McGuire and other APD police officers.
Why join the Dog Walker Watch Program?
Dog Walker Watch encourages these neighbors to assist local law enforcement as extra eyes and ears while out walking their dog. The program enhances the partnership between police and community while providing resources for neighbors to be more aware and how they can effectively observe and report suspicious activity. If you see something, the APD wants you to report it to 311 and in emergency call 911.
