No live weapons or ammo allowed in the training environment. Inert training weapons will be provided. Range attire is appropriate. We will be training on a matted surface without shoes. This class will be held at and co-hosted by Royce Gracie Academy of Lake Norman, in Denver, NC. This course does not involve any live fire training.
About the Instructor:
This course will be taught by Jon Plyler, the owner & head instructor for Acumen Tactical. Jon is a military veteran and former law enforcement officer & training, serving over 15 years with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. For his last 5 years, he worked full-time at the CMPD training academy teaching both new recruits & in-service officers, specializing in defensive tactics & firearms training. Jon is a certified firearms instructor with both the USCCA and the NRA, and is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. He currently works full time teaching Jiu-jitsu at his academy in Denver, NC-Royce Gracie Academy of Lake Norman.
