About this Event
A 4-hour course providing instruction on basic skills, proficiency and the mindset required to confidently operate a shotgun in an urban life-threatening situation. Defensive Shotgun I is geared toward the student with some shotgun experience. The student will develop skills to increase speed, accuracy, and confidence. The class begins with a hands-on classroom session on the range followed by shooting drills designed to reinforce technique and proficiency. Topics: Use of Force, Loading/Unloading, Ready Positions, Stance, Speed Shooting, Recoil Control, and Shot Placement.125 rounds of birdshot and 20 rounds of buckshot are required15 Slug rounds are required (Ammo is available at a discount to students. Please mention when registering)Pump action shotguns preferred. Eye protection and Electronic ear protection requiredA sling for your shotgun is required and a means to hold shells on your body is VERY helpful. Cost $225 includes range fee. Tuition Deposit Policy
We typically fill our classes and turn students away as the class date nears. Be sure you can attend the class date for which you sign up. Should you become unable to attend a class, you can use your deposit for another class offered within one year of the original class date provided you give at least 72 hour notice to us. We will subtract any upfront costs we incur such as class materials from the deposit. Cancellations shorter than 72 hours and no shows forfeit their deposit. Thank you.
