About the Course
A-LIVE FIRE EXERCISE
This 24-hour collaborative course, conducted over 3 days by Lions Defense and the Within Thin Lines Foundation, is tailored for shooters with intermediate to advanced skills. Students will dedicate half of the course to learning Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) and Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) concepts. These skills are essential to remain engaged and survive in critical situations. The latter part of the course focuses on applying medical skills through self-aid and buddy aid in the context of a deadly force encounter. All necessary medical training supplies will be provided.

Prerequisites:
Defensive Pistol 1 is a prerequisite for this course*
* current active Law Enforcement Officers, Members of our Armed Forces, and assigned Security Contract Personnel are waived
*Proof and validation will be required upon registration.

​Required Items:
-Open mind to learn
-One semi-automatic handgun (registered to the attendee).
-500 rounds of ammunition minimum for your firearm
-One good quality strong side holster(*No Serpa holsters for this
class*)
-One dual magazine pouch or two single magazine pouches
-3 double stack magazines (5 single stack magazines)
-One tactical belt that can hold equipment (Not the belt that holds
up your suit pants).
-Eye and ear protection (electronic ear pro recommended)
-Baseball hat or any hat with a brim
-Food and drinks
-Dress for the weather (we will shoot in the rain or snow) and the course. There will be fake blood! Expect to be messy.

Course schedule:
Day 1:
-Attendance check-in, required items inspection, safety brief.
-Attendees will under-go a thorough Defensive Pistol 3 course.
-Pistol qualifications range for completion.
Day 2:
-Attendees will progress through the Tactical Combat Casualty
Care Tier 1 All Service Members curriculum.
-Lectures and Skills stations.
-Proficiency test-out practical trauma lanes.
Day 3:
-Attendees will under-go practical exercises through various live-
fire lanes and medical skills applications.
-A final cumulating event as a proficiency test-out
-Graduation.
Graduation Requirements:
All students are required to pass all course materials successfully with 100% attendance.
All participants must possess all necessary required items for the entire duration of the course training. Any student who fails to arrive with the required items for inspection may be dismissed from the course program.
Course objectives are subjected to their designated "PASS/FAIL" scoring measures. All objectives must be scored with a PASS in order to achieve the course graduation.*
Adherence to the course safety and training regulations set forth by the course coordinators is non-negotiable. Every student must adhere to the safety protocols and instructions established by the course curriculum coordinators throughout the entire duration of the course materials*
*Course Coordinators have the full authority to dismiss any participant who fails to maintain a safe training environment during the course. If a student is removed from the course for violating safety protocols or failing critical pass/fail components of the curriculum, the Course Coordinators reserve the right to remove that student from the course roster without providing a tuition refund.
Course Completion:
Upon successful completion and graduation of the "A-LIVE FIRE EXERCISE" course curriculum, students will achieve an ILETSB recognized certification of completion for Defensive Pistol 3, a CAPCE approved 8 hour continued education certificate of the Tactical Combat Casualty Care Tier 1 "All Service Members" program, and an American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
Additionally, as a special thank you for participating in our new course program, all students will be given a WTL IFAK Supply Kit upon successful graduation, containing all the live items to make your IFAK prepared for success!
