Defender's Cabaret

It is without question that Kansas City remains a Black artistic and cultural hub, on the precipice of another renaissance. We push this movement forward through our ongoing events series, where artists, organizers, educators, musicians, and visionaries converge.

Join us for Defender's Cabaret—an intimate evening where Black creativity flows freely through music, movement, and the radical joy of community. This celebration also serves as a fundraiser for the launch of The Defender's Abolitionist Freedom School, our Black Radical Education & Abolition for Liberation (B-REAL) Academy.

Ticketing: This event operates on a sliding scale donation basis. We trust our community to contribute what they are able. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
