Deer Flat Mural Celebration

Join us in celebrating three local muralists and their artistic contributions to the refuge! This family friendly event will feature artist talks from Emma Regnier, Miguel Almeida, and Julia Green as well as yummy coffee and pastries and an optional art activity. Get a closer look at the three murals in front of the visitor center that highlight Deer Flat’s unique role as an Urban Wildlife Refuge! A huge thank you to the Friends of Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge for making this community centered art initiative possible.
Activity Level: Outdoors and stationary sitting or standing. Dress appropriately for outdoor weather.
Accessibility: Restrooms and a water fountain are available inside the visitor center and will be available. We will stay near the visitor center which includes grassy, paved, and natural surfaces.
