Diwali, the Festival of Lights celebrated the world over and Halloween are now on the same calendar day! A great life affirmation meets with a reverence for the bond between the living and the dead and the connection of all Being in the abode of Shiva.Diwali symbolizes the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance". Diwali is also associated with Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity, Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, Vishnu and others. Many celebrants illuminate their homes, temples and workspaces with oil lamps, candles and lanterns.
All Hallows' Eve is the time in the year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed. In popular culture, the day has become a celebration of the macabre and supernatural. It has a grand liturgical and pagan history going back many centuries. Join us in this celebration of Life and the interconnection of all things visible and invisible!
