This Continuing Education (12 CEUs) workshop offers an in-depth look at the Eight Limbs of Yoga as a practical framework for both teaching and personal practice. Drawing from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the workshop focuses on how the limbs function together rather than as isolated concepts, and how they can be applied in modern practice and daily life. Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi, will be explored as natural extensions of a grounded practice, with attention given to concentration, meditation, and self-observation. Throughout the workshop, we’ll examine how the inner and outer limbs support one another on and off the mat.The format includes lecture, discussion, movement, breathwork, and reflection to support both academic understanding and experiential learning. Yoga teachers will gain clear language and practical ways to incorporate the Eight Limbs into classes, while students will develop a deeper understanding of yoga beyond postures.
This workshop is appropriate for yoga teachers earning CEUs and for committed students interested in studying yoga as a complete, integrated system.

About the Instructor, Juli Eckmeier
E-RYT500, YACEP, PRYT, CYT
Certified in prenatal, children’s & chair yoga, as well as sound and somatic healing. Trained and studied in trauma informed, grief, special needs, Ayurveda, anatomy, myofascial release and S.A.F.E. yoga to support osteoporosis, scoliosis and hypermobility. Juli specializes in beginners, children, special needs, seniors, and anyone who might think yoga isn’t accessible to them.
She has been practicing yoga since she was a teen, teaching kids movement and art since she was a teen herself, and teaching yoga for close to decade. Physically, her practice has helped her through the pregnancies of her four children, through recovery from persistent injuries from a car accident, which brought her focus into ways to support the body in its strength rather than limiting yoga to flexibility and stress relief. Of course, stress relief and nervous system regulation is what brought her to yoga in the first place. Juli brings her enthusiastic love of movement, combined with art, nature and music to her classes and workshops.
