Great Lakes Bay Area native and former Saginaw Art Museum Trustee, Jett Whitehead has been dealing in rare books and building collections of modern poetry for university and private collectors since 1991, from his base in Bay City. Jett will lead us in a casual interactive discussion about how the Saginaw Art Museum & Gardens' art book collection was formed, and give an insider's blueprint on how to start and build your own book collection. He will explain what makes a book rare, and share tips on how and where to find the answers to your rare book questions.
An active member of the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association of America (ABAA), where he served for several years on the Board of Governors, Jett has an extensive background in buying, selling, appraising, and building collections of modern poetry nationwide. Join us!
