Join us for our first Deep Dive Into History of 2026 as we delve into the enlightenment age of dentistry!
Without its 18th century foundations, dental chairs, porcelain teeth, modern dentures, and specific tools for dentists, oral care would be much worse! After this presentation, you’ll want to give your dentist and dental assistants a “plaque.”
Find out the Tooth, the Whole Tooth, and nothing by the Tooth on how our founding fathers took care of their oral hygiene and why we should be happy to have the dentists of today.
This event is part of the museum’s Deep Dive Into History series, programs designed to give visitors a deeper understanding of our shared past through costumed interpretation. Each Deep Dive delves into a specific theme in Lower Cape Fear and maritime history.
