PRiME Advanced: Deep Dive EDI: Confronting Bias and promoting Inclusive Learning

Description:

This is a face to face, 3-hour interactive session, which will allow time for sharing of personal experience and builds on the PRiME Advanced worskshop: Inclusive Learning Environments, so most beneficial if you can attend this ahead of this event.

In this face:face session, will discuss key concepts of equity, diversity, and inclusivity, how this can impact our learning environments, why this is important, and how we can aim to promote inclusivity and opportunity of learners. We will also seek to recognise our own biases, discuss real student experiences, and aim to empower you as an educator.

There are 3 CPD points for this workshop applied for through the Royal College of Physicians.

Please note that these sessions are held Face:Face at the locations as specified, and we suggest that you have attended the Zoom session ‘Inclusive Learning Environments’ ahead of the session to get the most out of it.

*this workshop will start at 1.30pm. Please could we ask you to meet us in The Stopford Building reception by 1.25pm so that the session can start with everyone on time as if more than 5 minutes late there will be no access to the building.

*Parking If coming by car, the closest car park is Grafton Street Multi Storey Car Park. Please be aware of restricted access to Oxford Road – camera’s in operation!

Please give yourself plenty of time to park.
