About this Event

In 1963, Bill DeArment's grandparents, best friends of the Reynolds family, served as the executors of their estate - working tirelessly to ensure Mount Hope, the Baldwin-Reynolds House, became a museum in this community.

In 1984, the DeArment family was among the largest benefactors in the museum's most signifigant restoration to date.

By 2026, sixty-three years after Mount Hope opened its doors to the public, Bill and Linda DeArment have donated countless artifacts connected to the building's past, and have generously sponsored a once in a generation exterior restoration of Crawford County's most beloved museum.

Please join us on September 3rd at 6:00 PM to dedicate our seven-acre Terrace Street campus as "The William and Linda DeArment Arboretum at Mount Hope," celebrating their generosity, as well as the multigenerational commitment the DeArment Family has made to forging their livlihoods here, as well as giving back to the community they call home!

6:00PM - Social Hour with hors d'oeuvres provided by The Iroquois Club. Parking at 681 Terrace Street and 697 Terrace Street (with limited street parking behind the museum on Lord Street).

7:00PM - Remarks and Dedication

Registration is required. Cost is a donation of an amount your choosing towards the continued development and operations of the William and Linda DeArment Arboretum
