Decorate your own Pumpkin Workshop
About this Event
Decorate Your Own Clay Pumpkin Workshop
Celebrate the fall season by creating a one-of-a-kind ceramic pumpkin! In this fun, hands-on workshop, you'll decorate a handmade brown stoneware clay pumpkin by carving, piercing, and glazing it with your choice of colors. Create a classic jack-o'-lantern, an elegant luminary, a lantern-inspired design, or anything else you can imagine. Finish your piece with your choice of a glossy or matte glaze for a truly personalized decoration.
After your pumpkin is professionally kiln-fired, it will be ready to light up your home with the included LED timer candle. Finished pumpkins will be available for pickup approximately two weeks after the workshop.
The workshop will be held in the home studio of Jenna Bansbach, the ceramicist behind one37, in Elk Grove Village. Snacks and water will be provided, and you're welcome to bring your own beverage of choice. This is a 21 and over event.
Please do not bring outside food, as we have multiple food allergies in our household. If you have any food allergies, dietary restrictions, or food preferences, please let us know when registering, and make sure to have something for you in our snack selection.
No pottery experience is necessary—just bring your creativity and get ready to make a unique fall decoration you'll enjoy for years to come!
