Mark your calendars — Decompression returns on Saturday, October 17th, running 2pm–12am (the party keeps going indoors until 3am)!
This is our community's chance to bring a little bit of Black Rock City back home and blend with the rich culture of Oakland! Join us for an all day and night gathering built on the same spirit that makes Burning Man what it is: sharing stories, showing up for one another, and dancing to great bass. Expect a full day of family-friendly programming, multiple stages of curated music and performances, indoor and outdoor art installations, hands-on maker demos, workshops, a mini film festival, Oakland and Bay Area nonprofit partners, and the kind of kooky chaos only this community can pull off.
We heard your feedback, so Burning Man Decompression is returning for its second year at The Loom art & cultural center in historic Jingletown, Oakland. Whether you're a longtime burner or a Bay Area local who's never set foot on the playa, this one's for you. We're back, activating the East Bay with style!

📍 Getting there: The event entrance is at Livingston St. and 22nd Ave, Oakland CA 94606. Do not use the address you'll find by Googling "The Loom"! Parking is available right next door at 2000 Embarcadero , plus free street parking along the Embarcadero and nearby streets. Please don't park in other private lots.
🔞 A Note: After 9pm, all indoor spaces are 21+ and require an ID-verified wristband for entry from 9pm–3am.
