'Decomposing' Party for Composers and Performers

Hello!
Firstly, yes that is Steve Reich in the event image. Stolen from https://dangerousminds.net/comments/famous_composers_doing_normal_shit/
Secondly, this is currently a tentative events page for an alternative party to the 'Oscars' of contemporary composition on Tuesday 17th November 2026.
That hopefully a venue - either free or hired - could be found for a lovely celebratory party for anyone interested in new music in the UK - composers, performers, supporters - and who doesn't currently have access to several hundred pounds for a party ticket in a posh hotel. If there is any charge for this party, it'll far far far less and can cover a drink and some nibbles. Perhaps in a nice pub.
There will be no speeches.
There will be no glass awards to decorate the mantelpiece.
There WILL be lots of lovely people to catch up with or meet for the first time.
There will be the opportunity to dress up if you want or dress down if you don't.
You'll be allowed to drink and chat with people for longer than 1 hour before being shown the door by security.
I'm taking absolutely no responsibility for this NOT being potentially rubbish - maybe it'll just be a couple of pints and a curry (actually that would also be wonderful). I just think we deserve a party to celebrate the industry and the hard work that everyone doing, making beautiful, magical and incredible music, collaborating and existing.
If you would be interested in attending, in all seriousness, please indicate in this events page and we can make this happen!

ps. I can't imagine Steve would come along but if anyone knows him....
