Calling all union and solidarity activists in Norwich! You won’t want to miss this event with Roger McKenzie & Nigel Flanagan, discussing their books ‘African Phoenix’ and ‘Go South’ – groundbreaking books confronting racism, imperialism & charting a future for our unions.
Roger McKenzie and Nigel Flanagan are seasoned organisers with decades of experience in Britain and across the world. They’ve been speaking to trade union audiences up and down the country—from well-organised branches keen to sharpen their strategies, to those feeling adrift and in need of fresh thinking, and plenty in between.
There’s no substitute for face-to-face discussion when it comes to tackling the challenges our movement faces, and Roger and Nigel leave no stone unturned. Roger McKenzie, former assistant
secretary of Unison and international editor of the Morning Star, is the author of African Uhuru and the recently released African Phoenix. Nigel Flanagan, a global union organiser who has taken on giants like Amazon, has written Go South and Our Trade Unions. Both are passionate supporters of the Morning Star and regular contributors to Manifesto Press.
