DECK Artist-in-Residence: In Conversation

DECK invites audiences to an intimate artist talk and conversation with the inaugural cohort of its Artist-in-Residence programme at Shophouse. This session marks the first public sharing by the residents, offering a glimpse into their artistic practices, conceptual frameworks, and evolving projects developed during the residency.

Moderated by DECK founder Gwen Lee, the conversation brings together six artists—Ryan Lim Zi Yi, Song-Ming Ang, Camilla Maresse, Gabriele Chiapparini, Alvin Ng and Hiền Hoàng—whose practices span diverse disciplines, perspectives, and modes of inquiry. 

Through dialogue and exchange, the artists will reflect on their research processes, influences, and the role of place, community, and experimentation within their work.

The programme serves as both an introduction to the residency cohort and a platform for discussion, inviting audiences to engage with the artists’ ideas, questions, and creative trajectories as they unfold within the Shop–House context.
