This series dives into the essential heart of Lindy Hop — the Swing Out and the Circle! Jessie and Eric will guide you through the techniques, rhythm, and joyful energy that make these moves iconic.
You’ll get comfortable with 8-count footwork and discover the connection and momentum that make swing outs so exhilarating. Whether you’ve practiced them before or you’re learning them for the very first time, this class will help you hone your skills and build confidence. 🎶
✨ We highly recommend taking this class multiple times to build a strong Lindy Hop foundation — each round brings new insights and refinements. And if you’ve been dancing for years, it’s also the perfect tune-up to refresh your fundamentals and reconnect with the roots of the dance!
Prerequisite: 2-5 months of beginning swing, or instructor approval. You should be comfortable with the triple step, the basics of swing partner connection, and common moves like an underarm pass or tuck turn. Unsure you’re ready? Your class fee includes free admission to our Practice Dance that starts at 8pm right after class! Let’s practice those new moves!
Class run from 6pm-7pm, every Tuesday
This is a series class. Please plan to come the whole month!
Please arrive 15 minutes early to ensure time for parking and shoe changing.
Please bring clean shoes that won’t track in grit or leave black heel marks.
Parking is limited; plan to park on nearby streets and walk to the North Star Hall at 20 Crowley Street.
