📚 December Book Club: Dead Poets Society by NH Kleinbaum
When: Saturday, December 5th | 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Where: Keep your eyes peeled, this changes monthly!
Join us for December’s book club as we read Dead Poets Society by NH Kleinbaum, a powerful story about individuality, passion, and the impact of an inspiring teacher. The novel follows John Keating, an unorthodox English teacher at a conservative all-boys prep school, who encourages his students to think for themselves, seize the day, and embrace poetry as a means of self-expression.
Through Keating’s guidance, students like Neil Perry, Todd Anderson, and others begin to challenge societal expectations, explore their dreams, and discover the importance of friendship, courage, and personal conviction. Schulman’s story explores themes of conformity, creativity, and the transformative power of mentorship.
Join us to discuss the characters’ growth, the lessons of individuality and courage, and how the novel continues to resonate today. Everyone’s thoughts, reflections, and questions are welcome.
