Our ancestors gathered around the fire for warmth, light, and safety. They also did it because of the spiritual presence of fire. Spirit helps us remember our connection to the beautiful mysterious web of life.

Come with your concerns, your songs, your stories, your grief, your laughter, your tears, and your silence. Each community fire has a different flavor or spirit that is created by the ingredients of the world around us: nature, the people who participate that evening, and the Sacred Fire.

THE INVITATION - Community fires provide a space and process to connect with oneself, each other, nature, and the world around us; a place to begin to dig a little deeper, discover and express our vulnerability and authenticity, a place to experience the spiritual presence of Fire.

Throughout time, this process of connection – which we call Fire Work – has helped societies form wise and balanced cultures and traditions. As today’s world grows increasingly complex, the advantages of this human-and-fire relationship have largely been forgotten. Sacred Fire offers everyone the opportunity to experience Fire’s benefits.

Engaging the sacred fire in the presence of others is one of humanity’s oldest traditions, where people from all walks of life, religions, and traditions are welcome.

Community fires are hosted by Firekeepers, Amanda and Alan Kerner, and John Huang who are trained, initiated, and receive continuing education in the time-honored principles of "Fire Work."

REMINDERS

Bring a snack to share with everyone after the fire!

All our fires are substance-free to enhance connection and relationship between all participants.(people are welcome to smoke tobacco around the fire)

SCHEDULE:

7:00 pm - 7:30 pm - come early to help set up

7:30 pm -until ~ 9:30 pm - Sacred Fire - the doors will be locked after 7:30 (so please be on time!)

9:30 pm - 10:30 pm - share snacks, and chat while we all clean up.

COST: Our monthly fires are a donation-based offering. You can donate here under Alan Kerner or donate to the Donation Box at the Fire

VENUE/PARKING: You will be coming to our home please treat it with care and respect. .Street parking is generally available on 17th and Dewey. You will come up the stairs to the backyard through the gate on the left of the house. The fire circle will be at the upper garden.

COVID: Masks are optional. Please stay home or cancel your reservation if you have been exposed to someone with COVID within the past 5 days.
