Debórah Bond is a powerhouse soul artist known for her rich, emotive vocals, honest lyrics, and dynamic stage presence. With four studio albums, two remix projects, and a live album—several earning chart positions and Washington Area Music Award nominations—she’s carved out a respected space in the indie soul world and beyond.
She has collaborated with renowned artists including 4x Grammy Nominated drummer Nate Smith, Sean Jones, Derrick McKenzie (Jamiroquai), vibraphonist Warren Wolf, Dr. Chelsey Green, and earned a Fonogram Award (Hungarian Grammy) for her work on “Soul is the Flavour.” A 2024 Bernard Ebb Songwriting Award finalist, Bond is also a seasoned background vocalist for icons like Melba Moore and Miki Howard.
Her band has performed at major venues like Jazz Café London, Blue Note NY, the Kennedy Center, Warner Theater, and the Shubert Theater, sharing stages with Ledisi, Lalah Hathaway, Kurt Ellington, Rahsaan Patterson, and more. She’s recoded and toured and globally with UK acid jazz legends Incognito, late Ronnie Jordan, and held residencies at Jazz at Lincoln Center Doha and Strathmore.
Also an accomplished voiceover artist and jingle singer (heard on WKTU New York and more), Bond is the current President of the Recording Academy’s Washington, D.C. Chapter and an active mentor in the D.C. music scene.
