The fundamentals of ‘riding from the ground’ to enhance under saddle work, are the threads that generate a successful riding relationship with you and your equine partner. That relationship is the intricate web that ties this clinic together. During the clinic we will be handling parts of the equine skeleton and comparing articular, skeletal movement of those bones, to the practicum of observing a functional horse. This practice offers students a deeper understanding of how the body should move and assists students in developing their eye to recognize potential blockages and how to release them.
Throughout the clinic, students learn short and long sequences of ground work accompanied by in-hand work to support classical training. This system allows for the integration necessary to influence the horses mind, body and spirit and make changes that begin to reorganize the nervous system and change riding postures.
