Visit Sabine Hill State Historic Site for a unique after-hours candlelight tour of the historic Taylor House. Learn about 18th and early 19th century funeral customs, superstitions, mourning attire, funeral food, and much more. Pay your respects to the deceased at the wake and meet historically dressed interpreters throughout the house and grounds as they demonstrate the traditions and professions associated with death and mourning in Early America. Subject matter may be too sensitive for younger visitors. Parental discretion is advised. Please note, only portable toilet facilities are available at this time.
