A Death Cafe is a safe, confidential setting for people to come together to talk about death and dying and what really matters, over a piece of cake and cup of tea. There's no agenda - it's a discussion group where we talk from our own personal experience and listen to each other with respect.
Death Cafes were set up by Jon Underwood in 2011, and since then there have been thousands, in the UK and all over the world.
Please note - this is not a bereavement group for people experiencing profound grief - other sources of bereavement support are available.
The facilitators are Elaine Brooker and Jenny Joyce - we are both trained counsellors and old friends who spend a lot of time talking together about death!
