There are now less than two months to go until Saturday 7 March when the Deal Model Railway Exhibition will be held at the Landmark Centre at the top of Deal's High Street.
All three of the main rooms – on ground and first floor levels – will be packed with model railway layouts and trade stands. Organiser East Kent Model Railway Society is holding this as a fundraising event and expects some 20 layouts and 10 traders to take part in this exciting day.
It's the first event of its kind to be held in Deal for a dozen years and also the largest the club has held for some time – so we hope lots of people from Deal and surrounding areas will come and visit. Doors open from 10am and until 4pm. Adult admission is £7, accompanied children (aged 5-16) are £1, pre-school children are free and a family ticket (2+3) is £12.
Pay and display parking is available in five places close by, the railway station is but a five minute walk away and buses stop in the town centre too. Hope to see you there!
