Please join us for the Astronomy Public Talk series, where we host short, accessible talks on a wide range of astronomy and physics-related topics — free and open to the public!
This event will feature a presentation by UI Physics and Astronomy undergraduate student Meredith LeFevre, who will share how astronomers use x-rays to study the galactic center.
Due to construction in the lecture halls, this talk (and all summer talks) will be held in VAN 301. To reach this classroom, we recommend approaching Van Allen Hall from the west side of the building (along Dubuque St.) and taking the west elevator up to the 3rd floor. The classroom will be located directly outside the elevator.
A public observing session at the Van Allen Observatory will immediately follow this talk, weather permitting.
