DEAD SPACE CHAMBER MUSIC
“Compelling and totally genius. Fresh, ancient and relentlessly innovative, DSCM embody the transportive power of music”
“Unique blend of early music, goth, ambient doom metal jam band, with some more experimental trappings”
HANGING FREUD
“Unique sound identity that nobody managed so far to narrow down to one specific music style, often evoking influences and elements of post punk, ethereal, synthgaze, cold wave, ambient pop or yet experimental electronica. With the heartbeat of a drum machine as metronome, Paula’s vocals are dark, haunting, almost glacial, her enunciation is both plaintive and full of echoing fragile grace. While the cinematic music warps them all in a melancholic ethereal cocoon made of mechanical funeral melodies, icy minimal sequences and suffocating synth atmospheres. The overall ambience is dense, lingering, almost claustrophobic, but so poignant and uplifting that it takes you by the throat and touches you at the deepest end of your soul”
“Beautifully avant-garde and engrossing, like a fever dream that takes you down a path of your mind”
FUTURES WE LOST
“FUTURES WE LOST is the dark post-industrial, cinematic techno soundscape of electronic artist and producer Doug Gordon. Rising from the ashes of 2020’s grief and inspired by the artist’s ancestral roots under the crumbling mills and industrial scars of the northern English landscape; this self-titled upcoming debut album explores these post-industrial graveyards and dystopian future visions through the lens of our present day neo technological horrors. Sometimes a brutalist techno monolith to this mechanised slavery nightmare, sometimes a dark ambient soundtrack to the distortion and living death of our dreams. A sonic memorial to all those futures we lost… FUTURES WE LOST sound is formed from live hardware synthesiser performances, alongside programmed drum machines and samplers”
