On January 10th, 2026 the world lost another great one when Bob Weir shuffled off this mortal coil after his courageous fight against cancer.Step into the rhythm and join us for a special evening honoring the "Ace" himself. On Friday, February 13th, 2026, the Dead Rekordings monthly series continues its residency at The Listyning Room with a deep dive into the legendary songbook and singular style of Bob Weir.
Hosted by Bob Barnes, this installment of our Grateful Dead series celebrates the man behind the idiosyncratic rhythm chords, the slide guitar theatrics, and those soaring, soulful vocals. From the cowboy gallop of Mexicali Blues to the psychedelic complexity of The Other One and the emotive peaks of Cassidy, we’ll explore the vast landscape of Bobby’s contributions to the Dead's 30-year odyssey.
Whether you're a fan of the 70s rockstar flair, the mid-80s short-shorts era, or the elder statesman of Wolf Bros, this night is for you. Expect a curated selection of live cuts, rare stories from Bob Barnes, and a community of fans dedicated to keeping the music playing.

The Listyning Room is located in the nbkc building at 3510 W. 95th Street, Leawood, KS 66206. This is the north side of Ranch Mart, and there is plenty of parking for everyone next to the building.
