Katy Watson introduces the sixth book in the Three Dahlias series, Death On a Lively Sea, which sees the trio of actresses board a yacht full of suspects to solve the expected M**der of a property mogul's father.
Award-winning playwright Mel Pennant presents Miss Hortense and the Last Rites, which sees our titular heroine work against the clock to solve a M**der and save herself in the process.

The Queen Who Came in from the Cold is the fifth Her Majesty Investigates book by S. J. Bennett, following The Queen and her assistant private secretary as they get to work on their second joint investigation.
This event will be chaired by M. R. G. Davies, author of the Cosy Crime Club Mysteries series.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS

MICHAEL (M. R. G.) DAVIES abandoned a successful career as a newspaper editor to write fiction. Before kicking off his Cosy Crime Club series with M**der by the Book, A Game of M**der and From M**der With Love, he was an award-winning playwright and scriptwriter. As an author, Michael completed Desmond Bagley’s thriller Domino Island for posthumous publication and has written two sequels, Outback and Thin Ice. His plays have toured the UK and he has written Netflix chart-topping non-fiction for worldwide television.

S. J. BENNETT was born in Yorkshire and travelled the world as an army child. She had a varied career before her first novel was published when she was 42. Since then, her books have won awards, been optioned for TV, and have been translated into over 20 languages. She was once asked to interview for the role of Assistant Private Secretary to the Queen and still considers it the job that got away. A curious royal watcher for many years, she lives in London, where she can often be found haunting its palaces, museums, galleries and libraries. She currently writes the ‘Her Majesty the Queen Investigates’ series.

MEL PENNANT is an award-winning playwright whose work has appeared in the National Archives, as well as on stage. Born in London, she was raised by an extraordinary village, which included her Jamaican grandparents who moved to England in the 1950s as part of the Windrush generation. Mel is drawn to stories that explore what's hidden below the surface and celebrate the richness and strength of tight-knit communities. She lives in London with her family and their dog, Bleu, and she is currently writing another mystery starring Miss Hortense.

Growing up in a family of M**der mystery addicts, KATY WATSON learned early to look for means, motive and opportunity. After studying English Literature – with a sideline in crime fiction – at Lancaster University, she set about teaching herself to write her own stories, while also experiencing enough of the world to have things to write about. Two careers, a lot of airmiles, one husband, two children, three houses and forty-five published books for children and adults later, lockdown finally gave her the means, motive and opportunity to create her own M**der mystery. The Three Dahlias mysteries are the result.
