Dead Indian Canyon to the Oasis Hike

Dead Indian Canyon is only open from October through December and provides wonderful opportunities to see the endangered Peninsular Bighorn Sheep and many other desert critters. You will learn about the geology of the area and a great outdoor experience close to downtown Palm Desert. For this special hike, we will climb all the way to the oasis.
The trail involves sections of rock scrambling, requiring the use of hands and feet to navigate large step ups climbing through a steep, large boulder field. No technical climbing skills are required.
