Een project voor de bevrijding van iedereen
De Feministische Bibliotheek wordt gerund door een open, kleine groep gepassioneerde feministen. Wij zetten ons in om kennis over feminisme te bevorderen en om feministische fictie, theorie en praktijk gratis toegankelijk te maken voor het publiek.
In de Feministische Bibliotheek kun je boeken lezen en lenen over feminisme en bevrijdingsbewegingen, tegen een kleine borg. We zijn een anti-imperialistische, antikoloniale en antiracistische feministische bibliotheek.
De collectie bevat fictie en non-fictie, theoretische en praktische boeken, kinderboeken en zines over onderwerpen als bevrijdingsbewegingen, zwarte en queer activisme, inheemse kennis, feministisch marxisme, lesbische en transgeschiedenissen, anarchisme en abolitionisme, ecologie, lichamelijkheid en gezondheid, en feministische kunst.
De Feministische Bibliotheek ziet feminisme als een project voor de bevrijding van iedereen. Iedereen is welkom. Als verzameling boeken is de bibliotheek – en zal ze altijd blijven – onvolledig. Op dit moment bestaat de collectie alleen uit boeken in het Nederlands en Engels.
Boeken kunnen gratis worden geleend tegen betaling van een borg van €10, die wordt ingehouden als het boek beschadigd terugkomt (anders dan door normaal gebruik, bijvoorbeeld waterschade). Verlengen per e-mail is één keer mogelijk. Als een boek verloren gaat, moet €20 worden betaald om het te vervangen.
De Feministische Bibliotheek wordt mogelijk gemaakt door financiering van Civic Noord en donaties van vrienden en kameraden. Heb je boeken om te doneren? Of zines? Of misschien archiefmateriaal? Alle giften zijn van harte welkom!
De Feministische Bibliotheek is gehuisvest in Het Strandhuisje op Het Groene Veld en elke zondag geopend van 13:00 tot 17:00 uur.

The Feminist Library
The project for the liberation of all
The Feminist Library is run by an open, small group of passionate feminists. We dedicate our efforts to advance education on feminism and to make feminist fiction, theory and practice accessible for free to the public.
At the Feminist Library you can read and orrow books on feminism and movements for liberation for a small deposit. We are an anti-imperialist, anticolonial, antiracist feminist library.
The collection includes non/fiction, theoretical and practical books, children’s books and zines on topics such as liberation movements, black and queer activism, indigenous knowledges, feminist marxism, lesbian and trans histories, anarchism and abolitionism, ecology, embodiment and health, and feminist art.
The Feminist Library approaches feminism as the project for the liberation of all. Everyone is welcome. As a collection of books, the library is and will always be incomplete. Currently, our collection only includes books in Dutch and English.
Books can be borrowed for free on payment of a deposit of €10, which is retained if the book is returned with damage (other than from reading, e.g. water damage). Renewal by email is possible once. If the book is lost, €20 must be paid to replace it.
The Feminist Library is made possible by funding from Civic Noord and donations from friends and comrades. Do you have books to donate? Or zines? Or perhaps archival material? We highly appreciate all gifts!
The Feminist Library is housed in Het Strandhuisje at Het Groene Veld, and is open every Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
