De-Clobbering (an affirming look at the Bible)

Join us for a discussion about the "Clobber Passages" (those parts of the Bible that have been used as a weapon against the LGBTQIA+ community). We will read the passages, discuss what they DO say, what they DON'T say, put them in context, and have a thoughtful discussion about what this means for us as LGBTQIA+/ally Christians. Powell Presbyterian Church is fully affirming of LGBTQIA+ people, and the discussion will leave you feeling confident in God's love for you. If you have experienced church trauma and are feeling nervous about attending, please contact Katina Sharp in advance through her Facebook page or by messaging this page privately. She would be happy to talk with you one-on-one.
