Join DC DPW for a Home Composting Workshop!
Mark your calendar for Friday, August 28, 2026, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm to learn how to turn your vegetative kitchen scraps and yard waste into rich, healthy soil at home.
This in-person session is perfect for DC residents who want to reduce waste and create amazing compost for their backyard gardens or houseplants. Come prepared to learn, get your hands dirty, and meet fellow experienced and new DC composters.
Don’t miss out on this chance to make your garden greener and your footprint smaller!
Location: 899 North Capitol Street NE, 5th Floor Training Room, Washington, DC
Date and Time: Friday, August 28, 2026, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. You may arrive as early as 5pm to get settled.
Who can register and attend: DC residents only. Only one ticket per person. Proof of DC residency will be checked at the door.
Important Note about Home Composting Rebates: For those who wish to apply for the DC home composting rebate after the training, rebate applications will be due no later than 11:59pm on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
